Chrissie specialises in teaching Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra in a supportive classroom environment, where her gentle approach helps students build strength, increase flexibility, find balance, and experience deep relaxation. ​
Chrissie teaches yoga in a traditional way, drawing on the teachings of the Bihar School of Yoga, which emphasise the integration of asanas (poses), pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation (guided or Yoga Nidra) to create balance and harmony in life. Renowned globally, the Bihar School of Yoga is a pioneer in modern yoga, blending ancient practices with contemporary understanding to promote holistic wellbeing and spiritual growth.​

Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra

​Chrissie's Yoga classes are generally 75-minutes. Each session includes gentle yoga poses for flexibility and strength, breathing techniques to manage stress and deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra) or meditation to calm the mind.

​Classes are suitable for beginners, individuals recovering from injuries, or anyone seeking a nurturing practice. Recorded Zoom sessions are available for participants to practice at home.

How to Book
​Classes are offered as part of two series – one on Mondays and one on Wednesdays. Each series includes 8 consecutive weekly classes. To join a series:
  • Simply register for one class in that series below. The system will then prompt you to purchase a class pack for the full series.
  • Once purchased, you’ll automatically be enrolled in all 8 classes for that day (Mondays or Wednesdays), depending on which class you chose to register for.
​New students: When you book your first class, please also take a moment to complete this short enrolment form. It helps Chrissie plan with care and tailor the classes to your needs.

Yoga Nidra: This simple yet powerful practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest functions of your body). Usually 20-30 minutes. 
  • Stress Reduction: Activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System, reducing anxiety and stress.
  • Improved Sleep: Can help combat sleep disturbances and insomnia by inducing deep relaxation.
  • Emotional Healing: Promotes self-awareness and emotional processing.
  • Physical Recovery: Aids in reducing physical tension and fatigue.
  • Enhanced Focus: Improves mental clarity and concentration.

Chrissie is not only a Certified Adult and Children’s Yoga Teacher but also a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience, focusing on child and women’s health. Her personal journey with yoga deepened after her experience with breast cancer and the challenges of healing and rebuilding her life. She draws on her profound knowledge of yoga to guide others in nurturing their own wellbeing.
