Pause and Flow: pause to restore and flow to thrive

I have worked for over 30 years as a Registered Nurse specialising in  women’s, child’s and community health. I draw on this knowledge and experience when teaching yoga & supporting women with Lifestyle medicine/changes.

My journey into yoga deepened after a personal health challenge—being diagnosed with breast cancer at 33. Yoga became my anchor during a time of immense physical and emotional stress, helping reduce anxiety, nourish my body, and find clarity amidst life’s upheavals. Today, I fully embrace yoga as both a practice and a way of life, sharing its transformative power with my students.

​At Pause & Flow Wellness, I welcome people of all ages and abilities, offering gentle, accessible classes that are perfect for beginners, those recovering from injuries, or anyone seeking relaxation and restoration. 
My yoga teaching combines my professional expertise with personal experience, enabling students to experience a relaxing, easeful and supportive practice. In addition to my yoga teaching, I provide tailored menopause support, drawing from my own experiences and professional training to help women navigate this transformative phase with confidence and simplicity.

Initially I enrolled because I'd always wanted to give yoga a try, and Chrissies classes seemed targeted at beginners, now I keep coming because I love it! 100% enjoy the long bit at the end lying down, also the calmness and lovely participants. Chrissie's yoga class is a relaxing and restorative experience that’s beginner friendly and perfect for everyone. Chrissie’s classes were perfectly paced, gentle, with lots of options to cater for a range of abilities. Throughout the sessions I felt able to progress slightly further each time, at my own pace (even after missing a couple of classes due to sickness). I found the class highly beneficial for my asthma, and I was able to have a couple of attempts at the more challenging poses. Highly recommend this class to anyone of any ability. Sarah
